I had so much fun making this quilt for Emily and Tyler and I thought of them with every stitch. I didn't have a spot for the photo shoot so I climbed up in the cabin and took the shot from there.
There's always something you would change in a quilt and in this case my quilter lady used a heavier bat than I would have liked, but when it's done, it's done. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing. It will soften with use and laundering.
The magic of quilt making always amazes me....may your lives be as fun as this quilt....full of surprise and beauty and love for each other and the parts of yourselves that you bring to your beautiful marriage.
Love you both with all my heart.

Dang!
Does anyone else get that little pit-in-the-gut feeling when you have to prove you're not a robot. I know that I'm supposed to be smarter than a robot, but when those little codes come up and I can't tell an "a" from and "8" or an "r" from and "n" and then I have to do it all again....and then I wonder, "Do I put the space in?" "Do I capitalize?"
Sometimes I just don't have the energy to fail.

Hope
Looking out the window, knowing the tasks that must be accomplished, one can feel overwhelmed. Seedlings have sprouted in old egg cartons, to-go boxes, and lids of random baked goods containers awaiting their careful transport to Mother Earth.

I Am a Failure
Two weeks left in the semester and I failed to say, "Don't place your cookbook on the burner and ignite it." Next time I will add that to the recipe, instructions, and video clip.........sigh.......
